What is it?
The evening before the Epiphany.

Why did it get started?
Epiphany Eve also known as Twelfth Night or Twelfth tide, marks the end of the Christmas season.

How do people celebrate it?
Feasts are common, a special cake that contains beans, the person who finds them are the Three Kings or King and Queen for festivities, houses are blessed to protect them from evil, gifts are collected and given to the poor, and people go to church.

What are the symbols?
The three kings, also known as the wise men and the Magi, came to worship and brought gifts.

How can I celebrate it?
Make a collection for the poor, burn incense to protect from evil, place shoes outside your door to see if sweets will appear in them overnight.
